E-Tourism in the EU

The aim of the project is that the delegates of Edelény, Héhalom, Múcsony, Kamocsa, Kürt, Gyermely, Algyő and Székelyhíd to participate in a 4-day town twinning meeting in Székelyhíd.

Town twinning meeting in Székelyhíd

The aim of the project is that the delegates , within the framework of the project, where common strategic directions are defined to develop and coordinate e-tourism in their settlements. At the end of the project, a website will be created, accessible to all partners, on which the digitized tourism services of the given settlements can be constantly updated.

Getting to know each other

At the meeting, the municipalities will present their current situation in the field of tourism, as well as examine the benefits and opportunities of EU membership for the given sector in medium and long term.

At the event, participants will discuss and evaluate the challenges facing the EU today, their impact and opportunities for the tourism sector.

Learning

The participants will get acquainted with the tourist units operating in Székelyhíd and the region. The participants will also get acquainted with the work of the Committee on International Trade and the Committee on Culture and Education through the presentations of Gyula Winkler, Member of the European Parliament.
We will talk about volunteering and the opportunities of the Erasmus + program.

Documentation

Participants will create radio podcasts / videos to promote e-tourism, the importance of volunteering. They also develop their social sensitivity visiting local orphanages, learning about the situation and mission of theirs. Part of the event is a program called “Intercultural Exchange through the Prism of Tourism” where participants introduce each other to their cultural values.

The local museum hosts a three-day tourism exhibition where partners showcase the tourist services in their locality.
